Farnaz has worked exclusively in the area of family law since her call to the Bar and has received advanced training in Negotiation, Mediation, and Collaborative Practice. She articled and worked directly with the now Madam Justice Fryer (Superior Court of Justice) from 2012 until her Honour’s appointment to the Bench in 2015.

Farnaz guides her clients to meet their goals and interests by listening, coaching, and advocating. Farnaz is sensitive to the difficult emotions involved in separation and exhibits professionalism and compassion while assisting her clients at all stages of the dispute resolution process. She strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients while utilizing a sensible and respectful approach.

Farnaz has a broad family law practice which is settlement focused. Farnaz feels that collaborative practice is a superior way to resolve family law disputes.

Farnaz was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013, after completing her LL.M. degree (Master of Laws) from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. She was awarded the prestigious Christopher Ondaatje scholarship in 2011 towards her LL.M. degree, upon completing her LL.B. degree (Bachelor of Laws) in 2010. Farnaz previously gained international legal education in the United Kingdom and Switzerland and was the recipient of the Tunku Abdul Rahman prize in International Law. Farnaz obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.

When not practicing family law, Farnaz enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
