Cameron is committed to assisting separating couples with resolving their disputes in a principled and compassionate manner. He helps his clients find cost effective solutions to their problems in a timely fashion. Recognizing that separation can be an isolating experience, Cameron assists his clients put customized supports in place by calling upon, where appropriate, trusted resources that clients sometimes do not know are available during these difficult transitions, including coaches, financial planners, valuators and accountants. He applies various skills (including an understanding of small-medium sized businesses and wealth management) to meet the individual needs of his clients. Cameron encourages clients to participate in child-centered, negotiations in order to ensure that the best interests of their children prevail. Cameron’s objective is to help clients understand how they can reach resolution through various avenues without the court process, recognizing that realistically, some matters require judicial intervention in order to achieve closure. Cameron considers litigation to be just one tool in the conflict resolution toolbox. Cameron has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1995. He has received advanced training in alternative dispute resolution and collaborative law. He is one of the founding members of Collaborative Practice Toronto and is currently a Board member. Cameron offers initial consultations at his offices, conveniently located in the Yonge and Davisville neighbourhood, steps from the subway station.
