Addressing Systemic Discrimination and Creating More Inclusivity in Collaborative Practice
The pandemic, in conjunction with events in both the United States and Canada, has highlighted the systemic injustices that have long been with us. The Board recognizes the need to take proactive steps to improve equality, diversity and inclusivity in Collaborative Divorce Toronto and Collaborative Practice generally.
The first proactive step is to bring our community together to do what we do best: understand the issues, get more information and brainstorm options for solutions.
Please join us for an important members-only workshop which is critical to move our collaborative practice to meet our current reality. The Board’s commitment to this initiative can be seen in its decision to heavily subsidize this event.
The goals of this workshop are to:
Identify systemic discrimination
Cultivate strategies for challenging, intervening, and eliminating systemic discrimination
Understand infrastructures (human and systems) required to improve diversity and inclusion within collaborative practice, and evaluate strategies for developing both diversity and inclusion within the network
Increase comfort and confidence when addressing systemic discrimination and diversity issues
We are fortunate to have secured Karen B. K. Chan to facilitate this discussion.
